I hate to break it to you – I don’t like this anymore than you do – but if you have a government-issued ID, the NSA has a copy. If you live in North America, they’ve had a copy since it came into existence.
Oddly, the NSA having your ID should be the least of your concerns. Jumia’s database has a far larger attack surface and people attempting to hack Jumia aren’t as likely to have government agents at their door within 15 minutes.
