I like VRBO so much better.
Airbnb, I can’t understand anyone when I call. They favor the guests over the host. A guest has to prove nothing to get something. A host has to prove soo much, receipts, pictures etc then they depreciate it, receiving no compensation. I have been a Premier Host on VRBO for years, have not made Super Host one on Airbnb. Guest can destroy your property, threaten you for deals, etc Airbnb don’t care. VRBO is fair to both parties. IF I didn’t have to use airbnb I wouldn’t

I hate Airbnb too! It’s made it impossible to find a place to rent within the city I live (La Rochelle, France). The rental prices have like doubled and some flats even specifically ban rental during may to September (summer season) as they make more off the tourists. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to live like this and move out of the city. I think Airbnb really kills rental market in any tourist city

I was a Super-Host for 18 consecutive times, and they suspended my account only because I mentioned that “it’s not fun to deal with AIRBNB anymore, that they changed so much since the good times when a call was always resolved quick and friendly way, .. now the customer service has so much to improve.. I have over 250 5 stars reviews just gone.. my cupons gone,, and when I still call gives me nausea.. I did loose respect for Airbnb and my advise is Look for another platform Run from AIRBNB and if you can share this link to your friends.

Airbnb banned superhosts whose been with them for over a decade. And they will not tell you why they ban you. Just kick you out like trash. Ruthless.

Sorry ! the hatred only grows ! as the effort to be nice boils over and straplines occur to me such as “Airbed: : Properties run by misers for cheapskates !” or “Turn your lovely home into a demented hotel for cheapskates” and “AIRBED ! the clue’s in the name. D’oh ! ”

I hated about 50 things not least the crafty things they do to control you.

Just look at Joan’s crass comment. She’s the sort of person you can expect.

So stick to lovely lodgers : Real friends, mutual selectivity; there’s no comparison.

I hear you mate. I am a full time landlord with one Airbnb holiday let.
It’s a nightmare. Moaning guests who don’t understsnd the difference between a hotel and an Airbnb let
Constant damage
Punitive cancellation charges
Unfair comments section based on the mood of the day without the ability to challenge easily
Unfortunately they also have the marked cornered so it’s hsrd to leave.

If you don’t like Airbnb then don’t use them. Use one of the many other listing companies.

And why on earth did you accept a third party booking putting other tenants at risk.

Sounds like you shouldn’t be too hosting.
