I never understood the justification of the amount of refunded money. Some hosts are just wicked. As a host I keep exactly $10.00 for admin and communication and time devoted to the booking and I return the rest. I do understand however if last minute cancellations cause loss of revenue when someone else could have booked.

Definitely a good idea to sue them!! Class action.suit us an excellent. In my case they enabled criminal behavior.

I had similar experience.
Only bed bugs and cockroaches were the issue. Rec
Recieved about $200 back. I figured they owed me another $1500. Resolution center sounded conciliatory for a week. Then ghosted me. Wouldn’t post my very accurate non derogatory review. But definitely posted the hosts derogatory review of me. Deleted my membership.

I think we need a lawyer for a class action suit. You are not alone so many people have been screwed.
