I read through the reviews and felt bad for people who got bad experience with Airbnb. I experienced the exactly same thing. I made a reservation between July 5th to 8th,2021 at Sarasota when the hurricane Elsa hit! The little bungalow house is literally minutes away from the beach. It is a serious deadly Hurricane that landed right at that area. The host rejected to cancel the reservation and gave me full refund even though I told him my concerns before the trip as I monitored the hurricane everyday. Then I reached out to Airbnb and the case manager didn’t help much. She recommended me to leave bad review for the house and gave the host pressure to do the refund. They are just playing the game. They don’t care about guest SAFTY at all. It was so stressful!
