However, without communication on the Airbnb app, how is Airbnb supposed to know what happened? They’re not filming you for evidence, so they need to speak with all parties and try and piece together what happened. Did you send photos of the construction? Communicate via the app? They are as responsible to hosts as they are to guests, so, it takes some time. There are as many bad guests as there are hosts, unfortunately. Thankfully both are few.

I hope you explained this in your review. Were previous reviews good? I am a user as well as a host and I rely on honest reviews to make my decision when traveling. It is disheartening to hear so many say they will not use AirBnb ever again because of a bad host. There are many great hosts out there who rely on the platform for some extra income.
