But I have a tendency to not give “nice responses” to emails such as this. Airbnb would have got a quick response from my telling them to “Go F themselves”.

I understand your stance, as you have worked hard to get a 5 star rating. But sometimes you have to move on to a better platform. After reading this site, I am thinking that Airbnb is not the best choice for me when I am ready. We shall see though.

Also, age is one of the 8 protected classes in the Fair Housing Act. If you go to another platform, maybe ask them in advance if they allow your age cut off. Otherwise, yo may be in the same situation on other sites.

To declare you will not be told what to do means you didn’t read the Airbnb terms of service—they can & will limit host activities.
