I was in a similar situation as you. I booked a 4-bedroom home back in November for our May 30th wedding in Florida. On March 18th, we were informed that Walton County closed all beaches to weddings until June 1st. Several messages and phone calls with both the host and the company resulted only in falsehoods and deception. I called my credit company early last week to contest the full reservation charge. I just last night received notification from Airbnb that their bank reversed the charges. Airbnb sent me a brief feedback survey. Under the “Other” choice for reasons, I let them know why!
