In reply to Jill. What are you talking about? Blackmail the host? All she wanted was a refund. If the host wanted the key back, she should have given the guest her money back. It's called a fair trade.

AirBNB is allowing a form of scam where the hosts are allowing bookings and then doing what they can to get the people to leave. It sounds like this is the case for your booking, they’re very one sided and the customer service probably needs improved background checks. They’re going to get in trouble for facilitating racketeering at some point.
