all credit cards Amex is great; have some problems with their miles program; but not their customer service. visa mastercard, even paypal will back you if you are cheated on yr card. they charge fraud back to you, & pull $$ from cheaters acct.
I even got $350 back from fraud mechanic (chain) charged me for part I didn’t need & they didn’t do – thank you Amex
you don’t have to sue. go to yr credit card company-
even debit card from banks, that come out of yr bank acct, they go after fraud, not check, debit card.
will get that 1k+ back & the one night, with dogs say they misrepresented cost – & overcharged card

What a nightmare. Good luck with it.
How did the host charge you for the dogs? Did it not come through as an alteration request that you then agree to before being charged?

I thought you had notification anytime the cost increases from what you booked.
