This Paul (above) seems always at the ready to criticize the airbnb guest who has had a difficult time with the host. Maybe he works for Airbnb. I've done a lot of travelling, Paul and prefer my towels not to be dingy, don't you?

It is pretty glaring that if you paid for cleaning, you weren't obligated to clean the place.

And as for Airbnb's policies about posting reviews, the company does what it wants to and the result is no justice for the guest who has been treated unfairly. Its all about money and keeping the host in place to keep pulling it in for the company. When I had a problem as a guest, Air bnb solicited my review and encouraged me to provide details, failing to state there was a word count liimit. The necessarily long review was chopped short midsentence when it appeard as pending. When the 14 days wait for it to be posted was up, it disappeared and was not posted. They do what they want.

I'm planning on avoiding Airbnb in the future.

Be honest and don't bother hardworking hosts with finicky details about towels being too large/ too small/ too dingy.
