Currently fighting and awaiting a decision on a completely false claim.

Host said we damaged and burnt his couch -- it was "brand new" according to him. I'm surprised he didnt claim we damaged the roof -- mine as well I suppose.

It was damaged when we arrived, but didnt think this was a car rental situation where I need to take photos of all damaged items on the property. Airbnb seems to be gunning up to charge me -- This has been a very stressful and vulnerable situation. The airbnb support asked me to submit photos -- it's like, of what??!? I've left the property and I cant get retroactive photos.

Good Lord! Airbnb.. We were charged for damages by an airbnb host in an expensive service apartment in Dubai. For what? It seems we broke/cracked her wall!!! We simply couldn't believe our eyes after reading her email. She asked us to pay 500 Dirhams for cracking the wall. We are simple no nonsense travellers who have great reviews wherever we travelled. But to ask us to pay for cracking a wall?? And the strange thing is that the host send us this damage payment request 1 week after we checked out. Who cracks a wall. And who charges you 1 week after you leave. Ridiculous. And they happen to be superhosts too.

Oh god, this happened to me recently. I was being charged for a damaged bed frame and the host wanted me to pay for the full price of the bed! To think that the furniture shop where they bought that bed does not provide warranty because they know it's low quality, bed frame is wooden, just upholstered.

I wish I could read your story before I booked AIRBNB in last September. I trust your story , you are very honest. I am a victim of the host and AIRBNB. The host claimed that I broke a wear out plastic door and wooden frame bed support for 810 euro. The AIRBNB stood on the host side , but they deducted the claim down to 648 Euro. The AIRBNB did not show an invoice , they took 250 euro from my credit card and asked me to pay 210 euro more.

Like you , I did not break anything , I did not need to. You and I are too honest and there are too many devils arround us. It is very hard for us to fight with them....
