I cannot believe the response from Sue Ellen. Really? A professional cheapskate. We are talking about Mexico here. There are several areas that offer entire 3 bedroom houses for roughly $60 to $70 per night in gated communities that do NOT mislead guests in their ads. The price has nothing to do with this. What does have everything to do with this is the fact that the host is lying and misleading guests into believing they are getting something they are not through false advertising. It seems to me that once a host is caught doing this type of thing, that host should be removed and never allowed to offer a property again.
We just came back from Mexico less than a week ago. We paid $1,600 for 14 nights at a house that was advertised "wake up to the sounds of waves crashing". (Is that enough for you Sue Ellen) Upon arriving at the property, it was beside a massive condo construction project and the property is for sale. The pictures in the ad were old and taken prior to palm trees in the lot where the condo was being built, ripped out. No for sale signs in the pics either. This is false advertising. Numerous guests have complained. We woke up every morning to the sounds of hammering, machinery, cement trucks, you name it. It is hosts such as these that are destroying the airbnb platform. What one should expect is what was advertised. PERIOD

Maybe save a little longer for a shorter, more comfortable holiday next time? And Mexico....... hey, what did you expect:)
