I feel like this is not exactly extortion. She didn’t threate you with a bad review unless you paid her. She wanted her security deposit back. She sounds like a NIGHTMARE but come on, 15 people coming to a hot tub house? MIA to all communications? So many red flags. And you’re not off the hook either — Decorative towels the guests can’t touch? Wifi they can’t use “too much”? LOL. Who are you kidding? Hang some art if you want art. Towels and wifi are meant to be used. Stick with older couples and maybe take a few bedrooms out of your listing. Set yourself up for future success by removing the priceless towels from Air BnB bathroom. Frame them in your personal home. Locked drawers? Seriously? Assuming these were bedside tables. Get a safe. At the point you accept a HORDE of people, you are running a HOTEL. Plan accordingly.

In London a host lied through his teeth about me. I could prove it (the host was out of the country and the other people in the house loved me. I aaked on the day of departure when I first saw him.if I could charge my phone in the kitchen a bit. He said yes then in the review said I didn’t ask him)
Airbnb refused to remove the fraudulent review.

Accepting a group of 15 people is almost a free card to any group of party animals. I hope you set the security deposit high enough to cover any damages. You could also specifically mention that no parties / no noise are allowed between certain hours. Last but not least: leave an honest but straight-to-the-point reply to her review – many potential guests will read through the lines. Best of luck!
