I lasted less than a month as a host. I had about 10 guests total and my reviews were just starting to be published and I had one guest who decided she wanted to light sage on Halloween night to scare away the evil spirits. Some kind of hippy dippy new age woman. She did not like the fact that I told her she could not burn sage and left me all one star reviews which cratered my average ratings. I asked Airbnb to remove the review but they refused and so you are at the mercy of this unfair company for the reputation of your business. Turns out the woman is hopping from Airbnb to Airbnb just racking up her credit cards and she cannot hold down a job. So she is lazy and wanted to burn something in my house and then gets all angry and leaves spiteful one-star reviews and destroys my business. I immediately pulled my listings after they would not remove her review and I will never go back again after finding this website.

Agree 100%. I just closed my profile/account on Airbnb because there was a safety issue (gang members renting the place) and we had to cancel their reservation and not allowing them to stay to find out that Airbnb did nothing to support us and punished us for canceling the reservation despite the dangerous situation we encountered. Awful platform and zero support to hosts. Dissatisfaction to the highest level
