Hosts may charge a cleaning fee if they choose at their discretion. If I charge a cleaning fee, I’ve noticed guests leave the place a mess. When I don’t charge, guests try to clean up after themselves.
Don’t worry so much about one bad review. You can still automatically book many places. Hosts will still want your money. There’s even a way to respond to the comments publicly to defend yourself and explain your side.
