Airbnb take your money the minute you book.
The 24 hour cooling off period ensures everyone is satisfied with the transaction.
Having said that . Airbnb customer service is almost non-existent and frustratingly slow.
Rest assured that while you were inconvenienced COMPLETELY…the dodgy host NEVER received your rental fee.
