Is this a case for class action? Swindling hosts who have spent a lot of money to be treated fairly should be actionable. I have a friend who wants to book my property today and it can`t be found. I can find it when searching through my account but we can`t find it when using my friends computer. Bookings are down by $1,900 this December.

Further, I'm writing this tonight:
Hi Brittany,
Is this true?? I’ve found this on a blog about AirBnB:
“This is called ghosting and they do it a lot. Airbnb hides your listings without telling you for whatever mysterious reason they might have. The funny thing is they never disclose the actual reason and will just blame it on a technical error.”
Many thanks,
Randall

We are in a very busy tourist area on the south island of New Zealand, and are having the following similar problems with AirBnB, and their "customer service" with our new listing
1) Our new listing inconstantly shows up then disappears.
2) We're not getting any new inquiries
2) Our $85NZD listing show up with incorrect prices which vary on their site from $84 - $142!
3) We finally found an AirBnB Customer Service number, and have called them a number of times. While we did get a friendly and helpful person named Brittany R, who said they were going to solve the "visibility" problem ASAP, she said the price variation is a "known issue" and that they're "working on it."
4) I've received this email today: Hi ___ It's Brittany. Just wanted to reach out to you as I see that you talked to another Customer Experience Team member. I'll have your case open for 48 more hours if you have any other questions or concerns. I hope everything is going great in New Zealand.
Happy Hosting,
Brittany R.
It seems a bit generic and I'm less optimistic at this point.
5) The other "Customer Experience Team member" she mentions was a fellow named "Merc" who we talked to yesterday. He was a nightmare - his way of communication was to talk over us, tell us we were wrong, not listen to and/or dismiss our concerns, and was unbelievably arrogant and rude. Quite a contrast to Brittany and even the woman we talked to tonight.
6) Evidently there are some great alternatives to AirBnB. Although Facebook is still around despite Zuckerberg, I hope AirBnB goes down fast and we can get on with its other responsible competitors, of which there appear quite a few. We for one, are bailing, and putting our energy into more forthright dealings.

I know because i work with BookingHomie and we manage many airbnb accounts for hosts that joined our network, we also add the properties to many many other competing booking sites so you might want to check us out.

I have the same problem and no one shed any light on this for me. After much poking and prodding and genuine interest in how I can "improve my listing" to meet their mysterious criteria that popped up over night was:

- share your listing on social media (REALLY!?)
- new hosts get priority status when first joining and will bump down existing hosts (means a successful new host acquisition campaign in a popular city like NYC will obliterate rankings for experienced and hard working hosts)

Yea. Seriously. Time to jump ship! Crossing my fingers for a competitor to come and do good hosts right.
