If the booking was confirmed then you should be able to occupy the place. If the host refuses entry then Airbnb would surely help you out.

After I booked they tried to tell me that someone else (who had booked after I did) offered more money for their place for the same dates and basically if I didn’t offer just as much as they did, then I would lose out. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t think Airbnb was like EBay where you had to bid on property??? I just couldn’t believe it. And this isn’t my first experience with a bad host!
