Did you see pictures? Did you read the listing? Once booked, did you look at the neighborhood? Even before booking you can see the general neighborhood within a block of the place. Did you do any homework? If they broke rules, then they are liable. If they didn’t, that’s on you. You could have checked it out right after booking and cancelled.
