Every time I tried to book a “pet friendly” AirBnb, when I disclosed I had a cat they all became suddenly “unavailable”, even though they showed the dates as open. Airbnb needs to change their “pet friendly” designation to dogs only. I went through 7 different supposedly pet friendly accommodations and was refused at all of them. Have used AirBnb several times while traveling w/o cat and never been refused before.

De-clawing cats is torturously painful for the animal and a total disregard for the fact that the cat requires it’s claws for basic functions like balance, motility etc. I hope you saved this kitty and perhaps he/she already had this barbaric procedure before it was in your care. http://www.peta.org/living/companion-animals/8-reasons-never-declaw-cats/

Fortunately for me, unfortunately for the Instant Booking guest, the host told AirBnB he was honoring my rental of the room and would have to cancel the later Instant Booking guest. So I have a place to stay until my May 7 flight, but the Host and other Guest were penalized. What a Clu—- F—.
