I have stopped renting my house on Airbnb because more than once they refuse to pay for damages left by renters. I think their job is just to deny claims

This story is VERY similar to that of Dan Weber, the creator of the site. You can read his story under more info up top. I wonder if it is the same European couple out there doing three month scams? Crazy shit.

That is horrible. Airbnb needs to state in their terms that if there is a problem that the guest has to tell you and give you a chance to remedy it. I had people attempt that and now I make them agree before booking that if there is a problem and they do not tell me about it so I can fix it they cannot ask me for money or bring it up in the review forum. I also say if they tell me about it and I do nothing that is a different story. After reading all of this stuff I am afraid that even though I make the guests agree to my terms in advance and in writing that airbnb will disregard it.
