					<description><![CDATA[Update to above story:  The host  kept blaming the pricing on airbnb&#039;s system while airbnb was blaming it on a new inexperienced host. I will never know the truth. I requested to maintain the reservation at the originally confirmed price which I had been charged. Airbnb sent me a second notice of request of  price increase. Once I rejected it, I received a notice of cancellation and refund, and some suggestions of &quot;similar&quot;  properties. The only similarity was that they were on the same island. Most properties were smaller apartments, not houses, and higher in price. The few houses were higher in price as well. One property was comparable in size and price but in poor condition and poor location. 
The airbnb rep sent a message apologizing  for my trouble and inconvenience and indicated that hosts will be penalized if they were to process a cancellation. 
I can see the listing is still up, now with a message that the host cancelled within so many days etc. That&#039;s all.]]></description>
