I was an ABB host for six years. Whenever I read this I remember why I am glad I quit. Most people are great but I too had hoarders and crazies. I had names: The Defecator, The Ravers, Ms. Bipolar, The MovieStar, Vampire Man (who refused to be seen by light and spread poop on the walls)….I am so sorry. A lot of the guests from hell seemed to have issues with filth and feces. Air B and B is a TERRIBLE company for supporting hosts, or guests honestly.

I feel so bad for you!

That someone else can take possession of another house in Australia is crazy. But… AirBNB did not help them. I have had weird experiences as a guest so will not support AirBNB anymore. Hotel. No drama or people to worry about, and maybe get proper tenants so you know what you are getting, in Australia, where this is happening, airbnb has caused a lack of rental properties and sky rocketing rent. All over the world Airbnb is increasing homelessness. It’s awful to see great areas that you can’t live in anymore, or even not so great- due to Airbnb. It’s a cancer on housing as well as a risk for hosts.
